Are there camps and jungle monsters in Pokemon Unite?
Yes. See our Map Guide for details.
For players in a lane, there are several low-level wild Pokemon that give EXP when defeated. These respawn quickly, and they are extremely important to control once you encounter your opponents. By mid-game, two special camps appear: Dreadnaw appears in the middle of bottom lane and provides shields when defeated. Rotom appears in the middle of top lane and makes your opponents' goals defenseless. Defenseless score zones do not require a warm up timer to score.
For the team mate in the jungle, there are two special camps that assist with jungling (playing the middle field) and ganking (moving to a lane to initiate or dominate a team fight). Ludicolo's purple buff lets you deal increased damage to opponents with low health. Bouffalant's orange buff slows opponents as you attack them.
In the final two minutes of the game, Zapdos appears in the middle of the map. Defeating it causes lightning to strike your opponents and their score zones, leaving them defenseless. Again, defenseless score zones do not require a warm up timer to score. The winning team will want to defend Zapdos so as to protect their remaining score zones, and the losing team will want to steal the Zapdos takedown for themselves to make an epic comeback.
