Guide

I choose Water Gun first because it deals a ton of damage, and it helps line up the first set of two Aipoms for your other laner to more easily damage them both at the same time.

You want to Water Gun the first Aipom for damage, then only use autos until you come up to the set of two. Try to get to them before your lane partner, so you can line them up before they potentially waste their move(s).

Hydro Pump does a ton of damage, and you can hide in a bush or eject past someone, then Hydro Pump them into your team. It's also great follow-up after your Unite Move to deal tons of damage, and can keep someone stunned after Surf.

Surf is a great way to push and be more mobile, and helps set up plays. It's also great if you're trying to push Rotom, since you can push enemies off of a goal to let it in.

Muscle Band is there because your attacks do a lot of damage, and you want the higher attack speed to leverage that damage further, as well as get more boosted attacks more often, since they lower the cooldowns of your other moves by a second each while slowing down enemies.

Energy Amp lowers your cooldowns, allows you to use more Unite Moves, and strengthens your already hard hitting Unite Move back to pre-nerf levels, especially if you use it in Torrent (your passive) range.

Buddy Barrier gives you a big chunk of max HP, and giving shields to an ally allows them to thrive in team fights, such as at objectives and the Zapdos pit.

Eject Button allows you to make big plays, and you can surprise the enemy team by using your Unite Move, then using Eject Button to reposition its range while catching enemies off-guard.

I play this build because it helps enable my team to succeed as much as possible, while allowing me to make game-winning plays as much as possible.

Works Well With

Sylveon

Both Mystical Fire and Hyper Voice have really good follow-up from Blastoise's abilities.

Cinderace

Blastoise frontlining creates space for Cinderace to deal as much damage as possible.

Eldegoss

Eldegoss supports you with shields, movement speed, and healing, allowing you to perform your role more effectively.
